Arts
The National Endowment for the Arts has made funding available to non-profit arts organizations in hopes for preserving programs and projects threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn. The San Francisco Arts Commission and various arts organizations throughout San Francisco applied for funding for a variety of arts projects and programs throughout the City. These grants are administered by entities other than the City and County of San Francisco.
